The World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association (WPBSA) are the world governing body for the sports of Billiards and Snooker.
The WPBSA, UK Coaching & partner organisations needed an updated booklet for learners undertaking the Level 3 Certificate in Coaching Snooker Advanced Skills. The booklet needed to communicate complicated skills, techniques and drills, along with how to coach them. The booklet also needed to be visually engaging throughout.

The Solution
The booklet contained a large amount of information (90 pages) and much of it was describing complex shots, positions of the balls, cue and hands. To best communicate this information to readers, illustrations designed in a consistent style were used throughout the booklet to visualise the exact positions on the table. In total, there were 65 illustrations to show a range of advanced shots. Where no illustrations were needed, relevant imagery was added to break up large areas of text. The booklet was designed using Adobe Indesign in accordance with brand guidelines.
